BP’s Oil Spill Magically Evaporated into thin air?

Majority of news agencies are now reporting that the Oil magically disappeared in the Gulf. At the same time, as the dailymail reports, “the Obama administration conceded the ‘vast majority’ of the oil that gushed into the ocean from the ruptured well has already gone.”

No more problem? Situation under control?

The extraordinary reports came after government scientists concluded, that three-quarters of the leaked oil has “evaporated, dispersed, been burned off or been contained.”

Seriously?

While mainstream media unanymously reported to the same tune, Kate Sheppard of motherjones.com reports:

“…the oil isn’t gone. More than 100 million gallons of it—at least nine and a half times more oil than the Exxon Valdez dumped—remain at the surface or dispersed undersea. And the government is still keeping crucial information about the extent of the damage a carefully guarded secret—from everyone except BP.”

Pacquiao VS Mayweather Bout Still Possible ?

Is the fight touted as “the biggest fight in history of boxing”, still possible?

According to Arum, it still is, as long as Don King is nearby.

Top Rank Head Bob Arum confirmed he recently had a conversation with King, his erstwhile rival in the boxing promotions. King was the promoter responsible for the “Thrilla in Manila” event headlined by Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.

“We had some good laughs. All that old stuff, that old history, is gone now. We’re both old codgers now. If Mayweather chose Don as his promoter, I have no doubt what would happen,” Arum told Michael Marley of Examiner.com.

“Don and I would go into a locked room. Then we’d roll around on the floor for a while. When we came out of the room, we’d have a deal and Manny and Floyd would be fighting each other next,” he said.

Recently, Mayweather has tweeted several times that he was with Don King complete with some pictures.

Juan Manuel Marquez wants third fight, Manny Pacquiao not interested

After Juan Manuel Marquez beat American Juan Diaz he then called on Manny Pacquiao for another fight. Juan Manuel Marquez is now being touted as a much better foe for the 7-division world champion than Antonio Margarito.

Several boxing scribes expressed their desire to see a Marquez-Pacquiao clash following their fights in 2004 and 2008.

According to the latest report from Philippine Daily Inquirer however, this may not happen soon. Pacquiao’s lawyer Jeng Gacal, said “He’s [Marquez] out of the picture at the moment.” If Pacquiao does ever fight Marquez again, it will be over 140. Gacal says “Manny will find it hard to trim down to 140 now.”
